I am excited to have finished off another WIP and, although this one was not well aged or forgotten, it was there and unfinished in my pile of unfinished projects so I included it in my WIP showdown challenge.
The pattern is Boden by Nice and Knit and I knit it using Patons Classic Wool in a size L to accommodate my 2XL frame:
And, ta-da! Complete! (It is super difficult to do a selfie of yourself in a poncho!)
I really love this poncho and even though my attempts at modifications to bring the size L up to 2X didn’t quite work out as I had planned, I love the fit and especially how perfect it is to wear around the house when there is a chill in the air. One thing I didn’t consider was how much tighter my colourwork gauge would be when compared with my stockinette gauge – next time I do a project like this, I will be sure to use a larger needle for the colourwork so that there is a better match between the two.
My pattern page can be found here.
As always, please feel free to share with anyone who you think would enjoy this blog!
