I am pleased to announce the release of my new pattern, Liassic! Liassic is a beanie style hat knit from the bottom up using worsted weight yarn using the stitch pattern in A Knitted Silk Cuff. Top it off with a pompom in a contrasting colour for a fun and modern look. The pattern includes sizes ranging from Toddler to XL adult.
This hat was named for the geological formation, the Lias, where ammonite, plesiosaur, and ichthyosaur fossils were discovered by Mary Anning in the early 1800s along the Jurassic Coast of the UK. Whether you are hunting for fossils on a cold and blustery day by the sea or walking the dog, this hat will provide warmth and protection from the elements.
Liassic is available on Ravelry for $4.00 but is available for 50% without a coupon code until midnight EST September 30th.
It is also available on Craftsy and Loveknitting.
the hat looks great! also, your pompom skills are amazing.

I remember those cuffs and thinking how cute they would be has fingerless mitts. Don’t you want to figure out how to put a thumb into that stitch? Love the hat!

Thumbs are next, I think! Tricky because of the bias of the stitch …
